Scale: 1 / 16
This is a large-scale static kit that builds a "Late" Tiger. It provides interior detail in all compartments. Its tracks are workable, with three pieces per link including metal pins, and hollow guide horns.
The kit is intended to build the final version of "Late" Tiger (it has "Pilze" crane sockets on the turret). There are no alternative parts to make Tigers of earlier vintage.
The interior can be displayed by removing the turret, and/or leaving the crew area roof panels unpainted, because they are both transparent. The covers of the engine and radiator compartments are opaque. But Trumpeter have taken an unusual approach here. Some model kits offer both opaque and transparent panels, with the transparent ones having almost no surface detail. Trumpeter provide only transparent panels, with all of the locator holes and surface detail needed if you choose to paint them. Those features partially obscure the view.
On the exterior, this kit is less accurate than current 1/35 Tiger kits. A few features of "Early" Tigers have been built into it by mistake. The "chin" area of the turret is a glaring example.
The interior is an accuracy failure. Many features of "Early" Tigers have been built into it. The turret floor, engine compartment and firewall are the worst offenders, festooned with "Early" equipment that should be removed or cut off and moved elsewhere. The turret top interior, on the other hand, is lacking many "Late" items that should be in it.
