Trumpeter have made the turret roof of this kit a transparent part.
From outside the model, it is possible to see features on the underside of the roof. In particular, we can see that recessed bolt heads surround the hatch (photo).
But those features did not exist in a real Late Tiger. This is the roof underside in the Tiger of Saumur museum.
The bolts existed in "Mid" and "Early" Tigers, because their hatch had a surrounding frame that was bolted on. But this model makes a Late Tiger which has no frame.
