A crane mount

The kit is apparently supposed to build the final version of Tiger, because it has three crane mounts on the roof, which were the last addition to the Tiger's design. You could backdate the kit a little by shaving them off; but, since the roof is a transparency, it's very difficult to leave no traces of such an alteration.

Drainage slot

If you want to backdate the kit further, the next significant change to undo is the three drainage slots in the cupola. They did not exist before June 1944.

Weld line on roof

To backdate the kit into May 1944 and beyond, you would have to erase the weld line that runs transversely across the turret roof. This also seems extremely difficult, unless you paint your roof.

The muzzle brake

The kit provides only the "small" muzzle brake, which was introduced in April 1944. That seems to limit the backdating that can be done without aftermarket parts.
