The first Tigers had an episcope for the driver to use if his visor was closed.
This device was soon cancelled. But some Tiger hulls had already been manufactured with the scope's base plate welded in. One of them became the famous Tiger "131".
Some model manufacturers, after seeing Tiger 131, put the base plate into Tiger models where it does not belong. Trumpeter have done so. This photo shows their 1/16 Late Tiger, and the arrow points to the base plate, on the underside of the roof.
This part did not exist in any Late Tiger and you can simply omit it.
