This kit, notable for having a full interior, is the "Tiger-I Early" from Academy reboxed. Refer to the linked page for information about it. Here I will only discuss where the Airfix release differs from the original.
Airfix discarded Academy's decals and gave this kit one new set of markings (Tiger "832") and two new paint schemes to use with it. They supposedly represent the same Tiger at two different times and places; Russia 1943 and France 1944. The latter scheme is fictional, because Tiger "832" was never in France. The Russian scheme correctly names the tank's unit as "Das Reich" but shows incorrect colours; this tank was not painted with grey. The Tiger version built by the kit is not an exact match for "832", with the main difference being the turret bin.
There is a brief historical summary on the instruction sheet; it says nothing about Tiger "832".
Many Tigers were built that match the kit's version, so aftermarket decals should not be hard to find.
My ongoing review and comments;
