About this detail of the Tiger
This kit has a number of parts that don't match the decals provided. The real Tiger "832" was a slightly earlier version than what the kit builds.
The kit supplies a large shovel to be placed on the tank's front glacis. But the Tigers of "Das Reich", including "832", did not carry a shovel there. They preferred to store the shaft of the starter handle in that place.
The kit tells you to put the starter handle shaft on the lower rear hull wall, at the right side. But "832" and the other Tigers of "Das Reich" had nothing there, not even clips.
The cable on the left side of the hull was rearranged in the autumn of 1943. This kit provides a plastic cable part in the new simplified layout. But Tigers of this type had the earlier layout, which looks quite different.
