Tiger 02 is driving itself off a Marinefährprahm in Karouba. The tank is in "transport" configuration, and is littered with the road wheels and hubs that were removed to make it narrow enough for the ferry. The left-hand exhaust shield seems to be deformed, and consequently, exhaust fumes have stained the gun barrel on that side. Tiger 233 can be seen in the distance, near the aircraft hangars. Karouba airport fronts onto the bay because it serviced seaplanes. The date must be sometime in December 1942. There is an aircraft behind the Tiger which we can see in another photo of Karouba.
In this photo, the Tiger landed near . The hangars behind it are at the top right of the photo.
