Description
This is an "early" Tiger belonging to s.Pz.Abt.503. Its number suggests that it's the same one that will be left at Palais Rohan. The mantlet has an identical impact scar. The hull shows a similar bent mudflap and has its Balkenkreuz in exactly the same place, so it's extremely unlikely to be a swapped hull.
We also believe that this is the former Tiger 213. This is more difficult to prove, but the other Tigers of the battalion can be ruled out for various reasons, leaving only this one as the best match of two. Its crew have attached their towing cables to the front shackles, a very rare practice in this battalion at this time, but also a habit of the Tiger 213 crew.
