Description
This is an Early Tiger of s.Pz.Abt.503, one of the first batch issued to them. It is presumably the same Tiger as in another photo because the tanks were apparently not renumbered until the Spring, and then black-filled digits were applied. There is no visible feature of the tank that links the two photos conclusively, but we can see in both cases that the crew have attached the tow cables to the front shackles. This was a rare practice in s.Pz.Abt.503.
