Description
This Tiger can be identified by its unit, which is known to be s.Pz.Abt.503; by its lack of a mantlet's MG opening, which implies that it's one of the battalion's Befehlstigers; and by its light-painted gun sleeve (plus other paint marks) that matches up to Tiger "II". The commander is said to be Leutnant Weinert. The reason for glossy light-coloured paint on the gun sleeve is not obvious, but this sleeve is not a part taken from another Tiger because the flange - which is integral to the sleeve - matches exactly the paint on the mantlet.
