Description
The "tiger head" logo of s.Pz.Abt.503 is prominent on this Befehlstiger numbered "II". The tank has a replacement gun sleeve, painted in a lighter colour than the vehicle. It's a very early model Tiger, with the second type of side skirts and a Pz.3 turret bin. It is presumably the same Tiger II seen in another photo, which reveals it had a turret side escape hatch even at this early date. It's believed that no "initial" Befehlstigers were made.
