Description
Following its capture, Tiger 131 was repaired and test-driven by the British. It was taken for short drives within "Red Cap Alley", including this one. It seems to be performing a turn; witness the track marks on the ground. After a few successful tests like this, the Tiger was driven to Tunis.
Behind the tank, on the right, we can see the northern end of Djebel al Mughrah, confirming the location deduced from another photo of Tiger 131 near Medjez el Bab.
This modern photo, taken from another angle, shows that the trees are still standing.
