Description
Tiger 131 sits where its German crew left it. We know its location from another photo of 131 in this spot. Damage caused by Churchill tanks of 48 RTR is still visible. The loader's hatch is shattered; the Tiger's crew foolishly had it propped open during the battle, because of the heat. This is how the Tiger looked to the British tanks firing on it. They were fortunate to hit the bottom of the Tiger's gun and bounce their shot downwards into the hull roof.
