Description
Torrential rain played a major part in the Sidi N'sir battle. Here, German soldiers are repairing the muddy road that their tanks must use. Off-road conditions were even worse. Had the Germans been able to advance at normal speed across open ground, the fight could have ended much sooner.
This picture was taken only a few meters downhill from another photo of Kampfgruppe Lang.
