Description
A scene on the road above Sidi N'sir. With all these softskins sitting in full view of the hill that the British had occupied, we must conclude that artillery fire has ended. The number of vehicles travelling downhill suggests that Kampfgruppe Lang is still advancing towards Beja. The trucks climbing the hill may carry British prisoners. The muddy state of the road here matches Col. Lang's account of the Sidi N'sir battle; this is the same stretch of road where he "went from Panzer to Panzer, sprinting from one cover to the next".
This picture was taken only a few meters uphill from another photo of Kampfgruppe Lang.
