Details of wreckage in Hunt's Gap

This is the Panzer Graveyard at Hunt's Gap, the debris of a German defeat. The wreckage of two Tigers is mixed in the foreground, most of it probably from Tiger 811. Torsion bars protrude from shattered 60mm armour plate. Behind a Tiger's broad track run is a ball-bearing race from a Tiger, and American soldiers examining a Pz.4. At upper right, the turret shell of Tiger 843 lies alone like a giant "U". At upper left, soldiers have demolished the smoking hull of Tiger 142.
