Operation Eilbote : Tiger 141 halts

This photo shows Tiger 141 pausing on a rise as a German battle group approaches the hills where French defenders are dug in. This is one of the Eilbote missions, probably the first one.

The fan's waterproof cover is lying on the tank's turret roof. Behind the Tiger we can see the star antenna of a command vehicle, and hints of other vehicles in the battle group. The farm in the distance is visible on a photo of Tiger 11.

With Google Earth we can reconstruct what the crew of Tiger 141 are looking at; the hills where they are going to attack French bunkers and fortifications.
