Description
This event is a typical delivery of new Tigers by rail. One of these tanks has the chassis number 250014, so the recipient unit is s.Pz.Abt. 501. The book "Tigers in Combat 1" reports that the 501 were training in Ohrdruf, but these photos clearly show the Tigers unloading at Bad Fallingbostel. The book "Trail of the Tigers" gives the delivery date as 31 October 1942.
