New Tiger with chassis number

The chassis number is the identifying mark of a Tiger, and it was written on some items of external equipment, such as the cloth cover on the end of this Tiger's gun. This is the 14th Tiger off the production line and it is being delivered new to s.Pz.Abt.501. Although the tank seems to have a uniform colour, enhancement of the photo reveals a 2-tone camouflage pattern that must have been applied at the factory; the low contrast of the colours and the date of construction of the Tiger imply that it is painted with the first "tropical" scheme.
