About this detail of the Tiger
The Hachette Tiger Tank kit provides a structural crossbar within the turret. As you can see in this edited photo from their own website, the kit's crossbar is made of two parts with a joint in the middle (arrowed), and a handwheel is mounted on the end of one part. Both ends are supported by poles on the turret floor. The nearest end of the crossbar doesn't connect to anything.
But the kit's parts would be more suitable for an Early Tiger. In Tigers with the low cupola, which the kit is supposed to represent, there was a very different crossbeam. It had no middle joint, and the handwheel was mounted above it. This photo was taken in a Late Tiger. At the right of the photo, the crossbeam connects to the trestle on the turret ring.
You could improve the accuracy of the Hachette Tiger Tank kit by rebuilding the crossbar.
