About this detail of the Tiger

The kit's decals have an option for a Tiger "323". This is a well-known Tiger of the 503rd, seen in many photos.

A couple of small modifications are needed to build "323" accurately (as well as the corrections mentioned elsewhere).

Tiger 323

Tiger "323" had no exhaust shields. They were not simply lost; they were never installed at all. The rear hull wall of "323" had no welded blocks for attaching shields.

Tiger 323 wall modifications

To build "323" correctly, you should remove the sixteen bumps that are circled here.

Tiger 323 side cable

There is another difference between "323" and the kit. This is the track cable on the side of "323". The layout and positions of the holders at the back end are slightly different to what the kit provides.

Tiger "323" had five long segments of its cleaning brush handle.
