The Tiger had mesh screens on all of its engine deck grilles. This kit provides photo-etch screens with a suitably fine mesh pattern.
But the kit's intake meshes have some problems. They should be mirrored around the filler cap, but in fact they are a little wider on the inside. And so the left and right meshes, identical on the real tank, are different on this kit.
The U-shaped surround for the filler cap is also faulty. The real one covered six of the longitudinal wires; but the kit's one covers seven wires because it is oversized. This is a model of the real item.
