Description
This is an Early Tiger, one of the first batch issued to s.Pz.Abt.503. We can infer from the records that it was one of the two destroyed in January 1943. Only one photograph of it exists, but that yields more information: "241" has so much damage that it must be the Tiger exploded at a railway station on 17 January. We can also infer its chassis number because we know the chassis numbers of the two Tigers destroyed in January, and this one has a turret-side hatch, making it a later build than the other Tiger lost in January, which had two pistol ports. Therefore this one has the higher chassis number, 250050.
