Description
For months after it was burnt out on a Sicilian road, Tiger 211 was known to the Allied troops stationed there. This photo of the wreck shows several penetrations in its side armour that were not present when it was first abandoned here. The Allies must have been testing their firepower on the famed Tiger armour. Many items have been taken from the wreck as well.
