Description

Tiger "I" of s.Pz.Abt.503 is one of the first Befehlstigers ever issued. It sports the new standard turret storage bin, which in this case has non-standard support arms on its sides, one of them visible here. The two holders on the hull side for the mast antenna are visible. The tank's identifier "I" is in a patch of the original paint, surrounded by whitewash. The smoke candle launchers appear to be fully loaded with their Nb.K.S.39. For some reason the tank lacks a socket for its right-hand headlamp, which its stablemate Tiger "II" does not.

Many marks and patterns in the whitewash match up to this other Befehlstiger, but in this photo there is more wear, therefore it's a later time.
