Thumbnail image: Befehlstiger I driving

Description

This is obviously a Befehlstiger. The identifier "I" on the gun sleeve, and the tool brackets added to its front, are unique to s.Pz.Abt.505. That unit acquired its first replacement Befehlstigers in April 1944, and this must be one of them. It has added brackets for two unditching logs, like one of the "Early" Befehlstigers that the unit operated in 1943. The tank's tracks are obviously in motion, so this photo is one more hint that you can drive a Tiger (somehow) with your head outside the hatch.
