Description
The Tiger, like other Panzers of the later war, had a mount attached to the underside of the turret roof so that the scissors scope could be held there. The hatch had to be open when this optical device was used.
An impact scar on the cupola, as well as various paint marks and traces of winter whitewash, prove that this is the same cupola seen in another photo taken at the same time and place.
