Description
This is an early Befehlstiger. It carries its Fu8 antenna on the Fu7 base on its left side, which is not correct. The radio won't be able to transmit at full power.
The tank should be "S01" of the 13th company "Grossdeutschland". The lighter patch on the turret side is either the original number or new paint covering it; both are typical of "Grossdeutschland". The Balkenkreuz half concealed by the side skirts matches "S01" but was seen on other Befehlstigers of the time. On the back of the photo was written "Juin '43 Achtyrka" which also supports this being from "Grossdeutschland". A very slight misalignment of the first and second side skirts matches another photo of "S01".
