Description
On 29 February 1944, an attack on the Anzio bridgehead was launched with s.Pz.Abt. 508. In the ensuing battle they lost four Tigers. This is one of them. In the photo, it is being examined by American troops. It shows signs of a fire, with some of its Zimmerit turned white or detached. The building in the background is a standard local railway station, and the electrical poles mark the railway line.
