Description
These two tanks, a Late Tiger and a Mid Tiger, were left on the Via Roma and set alight when s.Pz.Abt. 508 had to retreat from Cori on 25 May 1944. Their turrets have been turned back towards the town. This is unusual in a Tiger under repair. It's possible that the Germans considered fighting the oncoming Americans from these immobile tanks.
