Description
The "breakdown" flag is flying from this Tiger; a black cross on a yellow field. In the chaos of war, the crew could not always wait beside a disabled tank so the flag would guide the workshop teams. This Tiger is already attached to two tow ropes. It has its front outer roadwheel removed, as usual for Tigers, and three helmets hang from its side.
Subtle marks on the front wall can be seen in another Tiger "822" of "Das Reich", proving that both photos show the same hull.
