Description
German troops and a Tiger tank are near "dachas" in the summer of 1943. This is said to be Operation Citadel. The Tiger is "S11" of the heavy company of the Das Reich division, a veteran of the Battle of Kharkiv.
There is another photo of Tiger S11 on this spot. A photo of "821" from the previous winter has side skirts whose distortion matches those of "S11", suggesting that the hull, if not the turret, is the same one.
