Luftwaffe personnel on Tiger 831

Tiger 831 of the "Das Reich" division was left on Akademika Pavlova St. (вулиця Академіка Павлова) in February 1943, a cannibalised wreck. This photo shows Luftwaffe crews idly examining the Tiger some weeks later. Many of the less useful parts have been detached from the tank and left on the ground. The internal torsion bars are likely to have been taken away for reuse on other Tigers.
