Medical station at Sidi N'sir

This apparently derelict farmhouse has been turned into a medical station, with a large Red Cross flag on the roof to dissuade air attack. The photographer wrote the name Beja on the back, but a study of the landscape reveals that we're at Sidi N'sir; the station's radio mast is visible, so we are on the high ground across the road from the station. This photograph was taken by a Tiger crewman and therefore it was taken during Operation Ochsenkopf, whose goal was Beja. The casualties of the Sidi N'sir battle may have been treated in this building.
