25pdr gun by ridge, Sidi N'sir

The Sidi N'sir battle was fought in open countryside comprising gently rolling hills punctuated by rocky ridges. This photograph of a 25pdr gun of "E" troop, taken after the battle, shows one such ridge. Cover for the guns and troops was almost nonexistent.
