Churchills heading to Kzar Mezouar

While the battle of Sidi N'sir was under way on 26th February 1943, British forces raced to Kzar Mezouar to set up a defensive line and halt the German advance. This is a still from a newsreel clip that was filmed on the 27th. The camera is on the outskirts of Beja (the goal of the German attack) and it shows a column of Churchill tanks moving along route P11 towards Kzar Mezouar.

The dark object far ahead on this road is a bridge over the Oued Beja, and the cameraman filmed another sequence of Churchill tanks on that bridge.
