Description
This Tiger was knocked out in the battle of Biazzo Ridge, then it was rolled off the road into this field. Its tracks have been laid out beside it. It's possible that American forces investigated its suitability for return to the USA for study. In the event, other Tigers were taken there.
A batch of Tigers were built with 5 spare track positions on the right side of the turret, but the rear two were removed when it was found that the engine hatch could no longer be opened.
