Description
While travelling to the battle zone on 13 July 1943, Tiger "211", commanded by Lt. Heim, broke down and was abandoned and burnt out on a roadside 5km east of Caltagirone .
The tank is marked with the letter "G" in a white star, on the side and on a rear air filter. This was applied when the Tiger company was temporarily attached to Panzer-Abteilung 215. The red number "211" and the small rhombus ahead of the star are the original identifiers of this Tiger.
