Description
This Tiger has apparently been demolished with explosives; the cupola is gone, the turret is dislodged, and the roof armour by the driver's position is bent upwards. It sits in the town of Acate, on Strada Provinciale N3 at the Via Dante junction.
The damaged front roof tells us that it's the same Tiger from an earlier photo, but it has been moved and altered; the mudflaps and spare tracks are gone, and the turret has been shifted. Presumably the Allies had some interest in recovering it for tests.
