Troops in Tebourba

After defeating British forces in a fierce battle, German troops take possession of Tebourba. A Pz.3 light tank approaches the war memorial at the east end of the town. This is obviously the same place seen in another photo of the fall of Tebourba.

This is an extract from a map used by the U.S. military in 1943. It shows the then size of Tebourba. The black arrow shows the troops' march along the road in the photograph, with the arrowhead indicating the war monument.
