Wrecked Panzers and Djebel Munchar

This is part of the "Panzer Graveyard" left by the Hunt's Gap battle in Tunisia, February 1943. A Panzer 4 lies abandoned, its hatches opened by curious Allied troops. At the right, the massive tracks and wheels are the remains of Tiger "811". The Germans and the British both endeavoured to destroy the valuable immobilised Tiger tanks during the battle; seven Tigers were left here in total. The hill in the distance is Djebel Munchar.
