Description
An American combat engineer prepares a trigger to detonate explosive charges under Tiger 142 in April 1943. The man is sitting in a roadside culvert.
This is a modern satellite photo of the area. The road in the photo did not exist in 1943; therefore the route of the 1943 road has been drawn, along with the location of the Tiger and the engineer. Since he is sitting in a culvert, he must be at the point where the stream crosses the old road.
