Moments after exploding the wrecked hull of Tiger 142, American engineers run towards the site to see the result. A Pz.4 stands on the road, less potent than a Tiger and therefore not destroyed or towed away by the retreating Germans.
A new road and a farm have been built in modern times, visible on this satellite photo. The route of the old 1943 road has been drawn on the photo, along with the location of the Tiger and place where the explosion was triggered. The engineers were about 130m from the explosion.
