Tiger 131 in an olive grove

The crew of Tiger 131 fraternise or trade with a Tunisian man in an olive grove. This photo shows clearly how far forward the Tiger tow cables were stored before the addition of S-mine equipment required them to be moved. A gas mask has been placed on a headlight; although Panzer crews were issued with gas masks and tubes to enable their use within a tank, they were probably never needed.

We can identify this as the same Tiger from another photo of 131, not only by its tactical number, but also by the weld marks on the hull side.
