Description
Tiger 312 crosses a tank-trap ditch on 27 July 1943. The German censor has deleted the smoke launchers and the turret number so that this photo can be published. Rain guards have been added to every slot in the cupola, a very unusual modification. The next known photos of Tiger 312 show it apparently serving in Operation Citadel.
The hull matches photos of Tiger 312 in its features, and specifically in the added storage for jerrycans, the slight misalignment of the first and second side mudguards, and a tiny impact above the first one (which casts a shadow here). The turret's painted cross is in the same position as on another photo of 312 and the upper support for the turret bin matches one detailed photo.
