Description
This beautifully clear photograph of Tiger 833 shows details inside the turret, hull
and engine compartment. The wrecking explosion tore the turret off its bearing ring,
which is still bolted to the hull roof. The radio rack is lying on the roof, suggesting
that the radios were salvaged before the explosion, which suggests in turn that the
Germans deliberately wrecked this tank. Other Tigers in this area were destroyed by
British sappers, during the battle, before they could be recovered.
