Operation Frühlingswind : P-39 shot down

This P-39 appears to be north-east of Sidi bou Zid. Although the photograph is not dated, it is likely that the plane was shot down during Operation Frühlingswind while Panzer units were fighting here. There is a record of a pilot, Robertson Thibodeau of the 346th Fighter Squadron, being shot down in this area on 17 Feb 1943.
