Description
Tiger 841 was found in a workshop area by the British on the surrender of the German
forces in Tunisia. The word "SAFE" chalked on the hull is a reminder that everything
left behind by German troops, in any theater of the war, had to be checked for booby
traps. The long crack in the hull was caused by an artillery hit on the Tiger, which
rendered it unusable in the Germans' opinion. They left it in a workshop and stripped
it of parts.
