Tiger inside rear wall

Tiger 841, originally of s.Pz.Abt. 501, is undergoing ballistic tests in British hands. This is the inside rear right-hand corner of the hull. Two penetrations of the armour are visible. At the upper left, the oval indentation is the hole for the antenna base that was part of the Tiger's original design. This hole was cut in the first several dozen rear walls made by the factory. But the antenna base was soon deleted from the design, and in all Tigers from 250011 onward, the hole was plugged (like this example) or absent.
