Description
During British tests on the hull of Tiger 841, the side armour was penetrated several times. We can see the result from the inside. The "ivory" paint has been knocked off the wall for some distance around each hole. This is the left-hand sponson and normally an ammunition rack would occupy this spot; we can see, on the roof, how it protected some of the paint when it was installed. The lighter paint there is evidence that a Tiger's inside gets smoky when the gun is fired.
